EQPE - OUR OWN BRAND

The EQPE brand was launched in 2019 during the Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre. The brand has grown in recent years and is now one of our biggest brands both in our own stores and online.

EQPE's goal is to manufacture products that have a high level of quality and function an excellent fit and a design that lasts, while also being affordable. The collections are designed to last a minimum of a three-year cycle before needing to be replaced, which makes for long-term production.

EQPE's climate goals

Our climate goal for the EQPE brand is to reduce EQPE's climate footprint by 50% per product by 2030 compared to the start of 2020.

We see that the largest share of EQPE's emissions (approx. 77%) comes from the material production from raw materials to finished materials. After that (approx. 12%) the energy consumption comes from product manufacture.

We carefully select our suppliers

Our suppliers are carefully selected according to high standards of both social responsibility, risk analysis and EQPE's quality and chemical requirements.

All suppliers must sign the Code of Conduct, which is based on our values, the UN Convention on Human Rights, working conditions, environment and anti-corruption, the Convention on the Rights of the Child. OECD Guidelines for Business, and the ILO's 8 conventions.

The choice of material is important

We have set ambitious targets to increase the share of recycled materials in our collections. The target for 2023 was at least 40 per cent recycled or bio-based materials, the target for 2025 is to reach 60 per cent and we aim to use only recycled or bio-based materials by 2030.

For the 2022 winter collection, 23.5 per cent of our fabrics and insulation materials were made from recycled or bio-based materials; for the 2023 winter collection, we have increased the share to 46.5 per cent, which is an increase of 23 per cent and we reached our target of at least 40 per cent.

All our textile products are PFC-free, free from phthalates and PVC and we actively choose not to work with antibacterial additives such as silver. All down products are made with sustainably produced and certified down, and we never use fur in our products. The wool we buy must be mulesing-free.

We focus on finding materials that have less environmental impact and, together with our suppliers, switch to renewable energy sources in the manufacture of both materials and products to reduce emissions.
