Purchasing and suppliers

Investments and purchases through our suppliers are a large part (22%) of our total emissions chain. We are actively working to get our suppliers to re-engage through our Code of Codeonduct, which sets out requirements for e.g. climate goals. The goal

We encourage all suppliers to set their own emission reduction goals in line with the Paris Agreement, and our goal is for our 125 largest suppliers (66.1%) to have climate goals in place by 2027/28.

To achieve this, we have launched a project that involves us going through all our suppliers in the coming years, and talking to them to see who already has goals in place, while helping those who don’t.

Our challenge

We may not be the biggest customer of our biggest suppliers. In these cases, we have less opportunity to influence their decisions and choices regarding climate goals. But we hope that we can still get there by talking to them.

In the years to come, we plan to work with other operators in the industry with similar goals to us, and together put in place stricter demands for our suppliers.

During the year, we have established partnerships within the industry both nationally and globally through the Global Sustainability Ski Alliance, where sustainability managers from several major ski resorts meet to share experiences and set common goals.
