Quiet vehicles on the mountain

As our goal is to have a net zero climate footprint from our operations by 2030, we have to reduce emissions from our work vehicles. It goes without saying that we wanted to be ahead of the game with our snowmobiles.

The world's first electric snowmobile

We have purchased the world's first mass-produced electric snowmobiles from the Canadian company Taiga Motors.

This will reduce carbon emissions by 230 tonnes during a winter season, which corresponds to 11% of our total direct emissions from all our operations.

We're investing in a Swedish business

We have also Invested in the Swedish company Vidde, which is developing a new electric snowmobile as part of a circular process just outside Skellefteå.

In collaboration with Vidde, we will be testing the first prototype on the market. We have also placed a pre-order for 50 electric snowmobiles, with the aim of having them in operation by 2025.

Our goal is to have a zero climate footprint from our operations by 2030. Working with Vidde gets us much closer to reaching our climate goals and to ensuring we provide circular products.
