Mountain Coaster in Sälen

Experience Valleberget in a unique way in the SkiStar Mountain Coaster. Get two laps in a roller coaster on a rail that is about 860 metres long.

Full speed on rails

• Located on Valleberget in Lindvallen.
• Max speed approx. 40 km/h.
• The rail is approx. 860 m long, of which 550 m is downhill.
• You’re in charge of braking en route. Automatic brake applied at end. 
• Each car has an auto brake, so they can't collide.
• One Mountain Coaster ride includes two laps. There’s no break between laps, but you remain in the car after the first lap.
• Maximum weight 150 kg per car (e.g. this means that the weight of an adult and a child in the same car may not exceed 150 kg)
• People shorter than 135 cm must be accompanied by someone aged 15 or over.
• You get on at the bottom of the slope and the car is then pulled up to the top using the lift.
• Children aged 3-7 must be accompanied by someone aged 15 years or older.
• Children and young people aged 8–14 are allowed to go on their own if they are at least 135 cm and able to press the brake levers all the way.
• Children and young people aged 8-14 may ride with a person aged 15 or over if the older person is at least 30 cm taller.
• People aged 15 years and older may only ride alone or with a child.
• Be sure to wear shoes that do not risk falling off while riding the Mountain Coaster.
• Tickets are purchased online. You will then receive a QR code that you scan at the entrance to the Mountain Coaster.
• Everyone, regardless of age, needs to redeem their own ticket to ride the Mountain Coaster. This also applies to children sharing a car with an adult.
