Restaurant and bar

Restaurant Passet is run by Alexander Bengtsson who has been operating in Vemdalen for a long time and delivers a wonderful mix of culinary elements from all over the world.

RESTAURANt PASSET

Many tired legs can rest here after a full day on the slopes. The atmosphere is relaxed but the large open kitchen is full of activity.

The aromas from the wood-fired pizza oven lure us to Verona for a moment - Passet offers an evening menu with a focus on Italy. A pizza with moose meat and pepperoni from Jillie in Ljusnedal (what a hit!) and carpaccio with gravlax from Åsarna, alongside traditional dishes such as schnitzel Milanese and gambaretto (hot prawns).

The staff are happy to guide you through the drinks menu, where the wine section spans Europe with a quick turn towards the USA. On the beer side, in addition to the usual bestsellers, there are also numbers from Klövsjö Gårdsbryggeri, barely two kilometres away. During the day, simple but generously sized skier's lunches are the order of the day, such as pulled pork served in a tortilla bowl or Passet-style sausage stroganoff (bratwurst and pickled pearl onions).

Boots and overalls predominate among those who sit along the windows overlooking the mountain. Later, some of them are seen in the lounge area sipping one of the bar's popular coffee or chocolate drinks and playing board games. Check out the coffee machine, the range of games is extensive and will appeal to most children's minds.
