"Ox weeks = countdown to the sports holidays when we will get to go downhill again! My love for skiing started early, during our family's annual skiing holidays. The picture from 1992 shows our friend Magnus, me, mum, Peter and dad, all dressed in wonderfully colourful ski clothes that really lit up the slopes. It was a time before carving skis and helmets were standard - we made our way down the slopes with as much determination as style! There's something magical about the snow, the speed and the togetherness. For me, skiing is not just a sport, but a way to make memories that last long after the snow has melted."

3rd winner #skistarlovestory

‘The first time we met was on the ski slopes when we were kids. Just over 6 years ago we met again and since then you have been my person. Today you got down on your knees in a place that means a lot to us and told me that you want to end and start every year together forever. This was my most obvious YES in my whole life. YOU ARE EVERYTHING! Forever.’

"My constant longing for winter and skiing was founded in the mid-70s, with skiing in the slopes of Småland around Storebro where I grew up. In the photo, my father is helping me up the lift in Djursdalabacken, I was too short to ski on my own and this is where we usually went.’ ... ‘I'm approaching 50 years on skis - though living in Östergötland, but it is so easy with the train to Åre - we have used it more than once." ...

8th winner #skistarlovestory
We have announced our eighth gift voucher winner! Congratulations @molkomstjejen
"Let me introduce the world's best ski teachers and role models. Namely mum and dad who taught me and my brother to love skiing. Who invited us to the mountains on sports and Easter holidays. Giving us the chance to try all its forms and giving us the freedom to choose our own favourite."

We have announced our ninth gift voucher winner! Congratulations @johanjkpg
"Almost 50 years ago, I was ready for the start. On sports holiday in Vemdalsskalet, just like every winter, but this year with the ‘Skistar’ competition organised by the ski schools at a number of ski resorts and where you competed against times that were compared with the national ski team. I stood on the slopes and skied from morning to night every day, enjoying myself all the time. I admired my ski instructors (still remember Petter and Lisa). Even then I wanted to be a ski instructor but it took many years before I became one and it is only this year that I am doing my first full season, aged 57."
