Oskar and Sine: From job mistake to mountain wedding

Sometimes the most unexpected things can lead to the most wonderful things. Sine and Oskar could never have imagined that a job application mistake would be the start of their love story. Now, seven years later, they are ready to say ‘yes’ to each other in the very place where it all began and in the middle of the mountain world they love.

A shared passion for skiing and the outdoors

Sine and Oskar share a burning love for the mountains and outdoor life. For Oskar, the adventure began as a child, when he accompanied his grandfather on hunting trips in Hedeviken outside Vemdalen. Sine, originally from Denmark, found her passion for the mountains when the family moved to Sweden to open a shop.

Making a mistake on the application

After starting their seasonal lives in different jobs in the ski world, they both ended up in Vemdalen, but not without a detour. Sine's application to SkiStar Sälen ended up in the wrong place because of a missed phone number. As fate would have it, she got a call from a supervisor at the ski school in Vemdalen instead.

A mountain wedding awaits this summer

Their paths crossed for the first time at the first staff induction day in Björnrike. This winter, Sine and Oskar are celebrating 7 years together and this summer they are planning their wedding in the very place where they first met - in the Björnrike warming hut, the place that brought them together.
