Winter news in Vemdalen
Vemdalen continues to grow and evolve – and for the 25/26 winter season, an entirely new ski area for the whole family will be introduced.
Hovde Syd – new ski area for the whole family
For Christmas 2025, phase one of Hovde Syd opens at Vemdalsskalet – a new family-friendly ski area with mainly green and blue slopes, a button lift, a playful Snow Park and a Fun Ride with jumps and banked turns. The area will also feature lighting and a modern snowmaking system to ensure great conditions throughout the season.

Welcome to SkiStar Lodge Vemdalen
You really do stay right in the middle of the slope with the Pass Express chairlift outside the front entrance. The hotel is the perfect base for families with slightly older children where freedom of choice is important. The hotel offers a restaurant with après-ski, shuffleboard, ski rental, a shop and a gym. The hotel is now closed for the season. Thank you for a fantastic winter! We look forward to welcoming you back in November, when we open for season 24/25.
