Winter news in Vemdalen
Vemdalen was named Mountain Resort of the Year at the Grand Travel Awards last season, but that doesn’t mean development will stop. There are several exciting new developments coming to Vemdalen for the 24/25 season, building on the great experience you get when visiting one of our many slopes and accommodations.
Better experiences for children
New lights in all colors will contribute to an exciting skiing experience on the Nedre Blåbär slope in the children's area at Vemdalsskalet. Valle will continue to create fun and memorable moments for the youngest skiers this winter with a couple of new shows. In addition, the stage at Björnrike has been improved.
Sustainable innovations
All ski buses, in collaboration with Mohlins Buss AB, will be 100% electric. This sustainable initiative aims to reduce emissions at the destination by lowering the climate impact from transporting guests from accommodations to the resort.
A frequently used vehicle at the ski resort is the snowmobile. With a focus on sustainability, we have purchased four electric snowmobiles, which will help reduce noise and emissions.
Efficient queue systems
Standing in line for the lifts rarely creates the best experiences, but we continue to work on developing the digital queuing system to give guests faster access to the slopes.
Plenty of beds
We are approaching 7,000 beds in Vemdalen. This corresponds to around 1,000 units and will ensure that everyone who wishes to visit us, whether again or for the first time, can find a suitable place for their group.
SkiStar Guides and Valle move into Storhogna
In Storhogna, a SkiStarshop Rental & Service will open with rental, workshop and spacious retail space in Sporthuset. SkiStar Guides and Valle will also move in here with group and private ski schools and Valle's ski school, all right next to the slopes and Kalle's lift. This is also where you'll find the conveyor belt that was moved from Storhogna M.
