Winter news in Trysil
We're passionate about helping to create memorable mountain experiences, so it's all about improving the resort, facilities and accommodation. There are several exciting new features ready for winter 24/25.
New world-class park
We're focusing on creating skiing experiences that are difficult to find elsewhere. Our new Snow Park in Trysil will serve as a gathering place for ski enthusiasts to meet on the slopes, and will feature a new 1,000-meter park lift. The new T-hook lift will have a capacity of 1,150 people per hour.
The park will consist of three lines, blue, red and black respectively. There will be rails, jumps and park elements all in one area, and will be a place for everyone who loves park riding, regardless of experience.
In addition to snow production in the new park, new lighting will make evening competitions possible, and evening skiing may be extended from the Turistsenteret.
This is the first phase in the big plan to prepare the area around the Tourist Center for a future main lift.
Old park for new use
Ever since 1995/96, many people have made the trip down L22 and L20, where the old park was located. Now the red/black slope will become an alpine slope again, in addition to being part of the evening skiing offer.
L20 will be a brand new SkiStar Fun Ride, a mix of ski cross and cool elements that offer speed and fun. It will act as an extension of the new park area.
Early opening for park skiers
For many years, we've focused on opening for cross-country skiing in Trysil earlier than normal, and this year we have some good news for freeskiers and snowboarders.
A small rail park will be opened at the bottom of the resort, by the Eventyrheisene, on November 2, before the rest of the resort opens. This will be a free offer for anyone who wants to jump-start their park riding with simple rails until the new park opens, which will happen when there is enough snow and all jumps and rails are ready.
New flights for unmatched comfort
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new flight route in collaboration with SkiStar partner, SAS. The route will depart from London Heathrow Airport and arrive at Scandinavian Mountains Airport, with a quick 40-minute transfer to Trysil. From 2 February to 30 March 2025, guests travelling to Norway's largest ski resort will enjoy a more comfortable journey, enhancing the overall experience.
Furthermore, Crystal Ski Holidays has announced that Scandinavian Mountains Airport will be a destination served by direct flights chartered by TUI Airways from London Gatwick for the 2025/26 winter season. The first flight from Gatwick is scheduled for 21 December 2025, with the last flight departing on 5 April 2026.
News for children in Fageråsen
Gammelgård, which is the children's area in Fageråsen by lift F11, will have a Valle's kitchen and other exciting things for children. Valleskogen will have lights that make it exciting to ride in the evening after the sun has gone down. The transport belt that runs in the children's area will be replaced and a new tunnel will be put in place to make the experience even better.
Better conference facilities
For those who choose to hold their conferences or courses in the mountains, Trysil will become even more attractive by upgrading the technology and furniture. There will be new furniture to make meetings more comfortable, and technical equipment, including LED screens, will be available in all meeting rooms. This applies to both Radisson Blu Resort Trysil and SkiStar Lodge Trysil.
