Winter news in Hemsedal
We're always working to improve the skiing experience for guests at the resort. This winter we have several exciting new features to look forward to. This helps to create the best experiences for those who visit the destination.
The final phase of Lodge Express is underway. This means completing the area at the top station and widening the trails at Turisten and the lower part of Hemsedalsløypa.
Guests staying at Fjellnest will be able to easily get to Tinden Apartment with a new transport belt of about 250 meters. Access to the ski resort will therefore be easier for several accommodation units.
The Tinden lift will undergo a complete renovation of the technical facilities to ensure continued operation in a safe environment.
New and old accommodation options
With a resort as popular as Hemsedal, we want everyone to find accommodation that suits their travel companions, with close proximity to facilities and slopes.
New apartments on order
Fjellandsbyen consists of newly built apartments next to SkiStar Lodge Hemsedal. Approximately 50 apartments will be available to book, for anything from 2 to 8 beds. In total, there are around 200 beds in the new apartment complex.
In Fjellandsbyen, guests will have access to a fitness room, children's playroom, lounge and activity room with TV, billiards and air hockey, as well as a ski locker and shared laundry room. There is also a parking garage with access straight into the apartments. For simplicity, resident guests can order breakfast and dinner at Lodgen Spiseri during their stay.
Staven is finally ready again
After three years, Staven is finally ready again. Right next to Stavkroa, guests can sleep in one of the 84 beds, divided into 12 apartments, from the winter holiday 2025 around week 7. With ski in/ski out and a location right next to the children's area and SkiStar Lodge Hemsedal, you can look forward to accommodation with a short distance to the ski slope and facilities.
Premium apartments by the ski slope
Alpelia offers newly built high quality apartments with ski in/ski out. There will be a total of 40 beds in 6 apartments, newly built and ready to welcome guests at the start of the season.
Measures for a better environment
With many machines and facilities, it's important for us to reduce our impact. We are continuing with measures to reduce CO2 and sound emissions.
Electrification
In order to preserve the beautiful mountain environment, electric versions of our work vehicles will be tested. At night, the ski slopes are transformed into a construction site, so electric snow groomers and snowmobiles will help reduce noise and emissions.
More charging stations
In collaboration with BMW, there will be 70 new charging stations in Hemsedal. These will be located in parking lots P4 and P5 at SkiStar Lodge.
