Ski Test Weekend Åre

The year welcomes the start of a new ski season with Ski Test Weekend. Try out the season's latest products and take your first corduroy turns. And when the lifts close for the day, take advantage of Åre's wide range of restaurants – there's something for everyone.

Ski-, snowboard and product test

Test the winter’s latest products on the Friday and Saturday. If you're looking to upgrade for the season, here's your chance to try out all the leading brands.

Friday 13 December
09:30-15:00 Ski and product test at Rödkullen
15:00-18:00 Afterski with DJ at Hanson Concept Store on Åre square
18:00-20:00 Evening skiing in VM8an and Garden
Saturday 14th December
9:30-15:00 Ski and product test at Rödkullen
13:00-14:00 Oakley Slam Jam at the test area at Rödkullen*
15:00-18:00 Afterski with DJ at Hanson Concept Store on Åre square

*Registration from 12.00 at the competition area or earlier in the Oakley tent. Parental consent required for children/youth.

How to test skis

In order to be able to test skis and other products, you need to be a SkiStar Member. If you're not already a member, you can join now. Read more and become a member »

Once you become a member, you can continue according to the instructions:

  1. Download the SkiStar app. The app can be downloaded for both iPhone and Android.
  2. Log in
  3. Go to the Profile tab
  4. Select 'Member'
  5. Above your membership level, you will see a square with an arrow below. Swipe the square down to make your personal QR code visible.
  6. Show the QR code for the supplier whose products you want to try

Once you have finished trying, show the QR code to the supplier, who will then check that you have returned the product.

Åre Pre Sessions

We may be more used to dancing and swinging in the spring sun during the Åre Sessions, but this year the season will both open and close with Sessions!
