Camelbak develops portable water-storage solutions which ensure that you have as much water as you need to perform at your best. The idea behind the brand emerged in the summer of 1988 when bicycle enthusiast Michael Eidson was taking part in a 100-mile race in Texas. In order not to waste time stopping to drink during the race, he came up with his own solution. He filled an IV bag with water and put it into a sock, which he stuffed into the back pocket of his cycling jersey. By putting the thin hose over his shoulder, he could drink while cycling and the first hands-free hydration system was born.
